Incoming Freshman Waste Takes 3rd at Junior World Team Trials

Jake Waste placed 3rd at the FILA Junior World Team Trials in Franklin, Indiana on May 20th, 2011.  He lost to eventual champion Joel Bauman of the Minnesota Storm Wrestling Club 1-0, 1-2, 0-1.  In the third place match, he beat Eli Adams of the YES Wrestling Club 0-1, 5-1, 6-4. 


By placing 3rd at the FILA Junior World Team Trials, Jake qualified for the FILA Junior Pan-American Team.  He will be competing at the Pan-American Championships in Sao, Brazil.  The Pan-American Championships run from June 27th through July 4th.
